1. What is FabFemme?
FabFemme is a premier lifestyle and social events company for gay and bisexual women. FabFemme hosts innovative and fabulously fun social events for vibrant, successful, professionally minded women who enjoy all of the wonderful amenities that their cities have to offer. FabFemme appeals to women who have sophisticated tastes and who value meeting other fabulous women. FabFemme caters to women who enjoy sharing exciting new experiences, building friendly camaraderie, developing new interests, and making new friends, professional contacts and quite possibly, new dates!
2. What types of events and activities does FabFemme offer?
FabFemme hosts innovative and fabulously fun social events at hip venues in the city such as art galleries, beachfront cafes, contemporary four-star hotels, piano bars, outdoor gardens, soulful jazz venues, wine salons etc. FabFemme also plans fun lifestyle activities such as sailing and wine tasting as well as day spas, comedy shows, theatre, sunset cruises and vineyard excursions.
3. When are events held?
Events are held at various times throughout the month depending upon the event or activity planned. Monthly mixers are usually held in the evenings from 7-10pm to accommodate busy professional work schedules. Events and activities are scheduled during weeknights as well as on weekends.
4. How large are your events?
Event turnout varies depending upon event type. Monthly mixers tend to draw an average of 100 to 150 fabulous women! Specialized activities such as a wine tasting class may have an average turnout of 25 to 50 women.
5. Which cities does FabFemme currently serve?
FabFemme currently produces exciting events and fun activities for women who reside in the San Francisco Bay area. With the overwhelming success of FabFemme in San Francisco, its first pilot site, FabFemme plans to launch in Los Angeles later this year. FabFemme is also considering plans to expand into other metropolitan markets such as Chicago, New York, Boston, Seattle, Miami and Dallas in the future.
6. Is FabFemme a singles group?
FabFemme events can be enjoyed alone, with friends, other singles and/or with significant others. The friendly camaraderie amidst beautiful, comfortable settings is conducive for meeting fun, vibrant women and for developing new relationships whether as friends, business contacts and possibly, new dates! Additionally, FabFemme hosts events that cater specifically to singles.
7. What types of women attend FabFemme events?
FabFemme caters to educated, professional gay and bisexual women who have diverse interests and backgrounds, and who work in a variety of professions such as the arts, entertainment, architecture, design, fashion, finance, healthcare, law, medical, education, marketing, health and fitness, political, media, technology, real estate, travel, hospitality and social service. FabFemme currently specializes in sponsoring and promoting social events for gay and bisexual women aged 21 and over, who are gender-identified as female. We are unfortunately unable to accommodate other individuals at this time.
8. Do I have to be a member to attend events?
Non-members are welcome to attend FabFemme events and activities, but will pay a slightly higher price than members. Non-members can attend as many events as they like and each time only pay the cost of the event.
9. How do I learn about upcoming events?
There are two primary ways to learn about upcoming events. If you are a member, you will receive exclusive invitations to all events via email and receive special event discount offers. Non-members are welcome to learn about upcoming events by subscribing to a complimentary email list and can always join as a member at a later time. Members and guests can also view a calendar of events on the FabFemme website which provides a detailed description about all events that may interest you. Once you?ve found an event or activity that appeals to you, you can sign up, register and pay for an event via a safe and secure online e-payment service to reserve your spot!
10. How much do events cost?
The cost varies depending on the particular event or activity planned. Typically, monthly mixers range in price from $15-$30, singles events range in price from $25-$45, and special events range in price from $50-$100. Activities can range in price from $15-$125 and higher, depending upon the planned activity.
11. Are there membership fees to join FabFemme?
To join as a new member, there will be a nominal annual membership fee. Members will receive valuable benefits and services such as special discounted event pricing, exclusive priority invitations to events, FabFemme merchandise gifts and more.. Non-members are welcome to attend FabFemme events and activities, but will pay a slightly higher price than members.
12. What percent of proceeds are donated to charitable organizations?
The portion of net proceeds donated to various regional, national and global organizations in areas of medical research, women and children's services, human and legal rights, community and educational development varies from event to event, depending on financial cost structure of particular events. Donations are not made for all events. Events whose partial net proceeds will be donated to various organizations, will be specified on the event email invitation, in the events section of the website as well as displayed on event signage.
13. Is FabFemme a non-for-profit organization?
FabFemme Inc. is a private for-profit business, incorporated in the state of California on January 29, 2004.
14. I have ideas for FabFemme events, so where can I submit them?
We want to tailor FabFemme to meet your desired needs, and ultimately, fabulously exceed your expectations. FabFemme is your experience. We welcome any and all suggestions and encourage you to please fill out the Contact Us form on the website and make your fabulous suggestions, or send us an email directly to suggestions@fabfemme.com. From there, we'll review all suggestions and plan events that we think our members will enjoy.
15. How are FabFemme events structured?
If you sign up and pay for an event online, you will receive an event payment confirmation. All event information will be sent to you via email which will describe the event location, time, special amenities, attire, parking and any additional information. A FabFemme event director will host every event to ensure that each event exceeds your expectations. They?ll be sure to introduce you to our very friendly members and guests. Icebreakers will be on hand in various forms such as cute contact cards that you can hand out to members and guests to strike up a conversation as well as to stay in touch after the events. All you have to do is bring your fabulously friendly self and let us help you with the rest.
16. What if I signed up for an event and then have to cancel?
Events are non-refundable and non-transferable.
17. I live out of town, but I travel to cities where FabFemme is available. Can I attend FabFemme events in a variety of available cities?
Yes, absolutely. If you live out of town, but travel to cities where FabFemme is available, you are highly encouraged and are welcome to attend FabFemme events in a variety of cities. FabFemme offers a great way to meet wonderful women in amazing parts of the country, and offers a great way to be a wonderful part of the city?s most exciting activities.
